It allows to clone, pull and push from\/to mercurial remote repositories, using git.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/glandium\/git-cinnabar\/releases\/tag\/0.5.8\">Get it on github<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>These release notes are also available on the <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/glandium\/git-cinnabar\/wiki\/Release-Notes:-0.5.8\">git-cinnabar wiki<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>What's new since 0.5.7?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Updated git to 2.34.0 for the helper.<\/li>\n<li>Python 3.5 and newer are now officially supported. Git-cinnabar will try to<br \/>\nuse the <code>python3<\/code> program by default, but will fallback to <code>python2.7<\/code> if<br \/>\nthat's where the Mercurial libraries are available. It is possible to pick<br \/>\na specific python with the <code>GIT_CINNABAR_PYTHON<\/code> environment variable.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed compatibility with Mercurial 5.8 and newer.<\/li>\n<li>The prebuilt binaries are now optimized on arm64 macOS and Windows.<\/li>\n<li><code>git cinnabar download<\/code> now properly returns an error code when failing to<br \/>\nextract the prebuilt binaries.<\/li>\n<li>Pushing to a non-empty Mercurial repository without having pulled at least<br \/>\nonce from it is now prevented.<\/li>\n<li>Replaced the nagging about fsck with a smaller check always happening after<br \/>\npulling.<\/li>\n<li>Fail earlier on <code>git fetch hg::url &lt;sha1&gt;<\/code> (it would properly fetch the<br \/>\nMercurial changeset and its ancestors, but git would fail at the end because<br \/>\nthe sha1 is not a git sha1 ; use <code>git cinnabar fetch<\/code> instead)<\/li>\n<li>Minor fixes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Git-cinnabar is a git remote helper to interact with mercurial repositories.
